Concerns the cession of Chippewa land in Minnesota and the Dakota Territory, their removal, and the remuneration they will receive. Authorized by President Abraham Lincoln. Treaty arranged by Alexander Ramsey and Ashley C. Morrill, Commissioner on the part of the United States, and the Chippewa leaders on 2 October 1863 (and ratified on 5 May 1864). Includes a supplement concluded on 12 April 1864 and ratified on 25 April 1864.
