One newspaper clipping entitled, "Tide of Battle in Southwest Pacific Turns to Side of Allies" dated November 22, 1942 printed by the Los Angeles Times. Contains an illustration of a map showing Australia, New Zealand and Papau New Guinea with a small paragraph summarizing the Allied strategy against the Japanese army. Also refers to indigineous people of the islands of Fiji, Samao, Guam and various others as "savage tribes." Reverse side contains news covering the Allied military fighting in Europe and a column "Farmer's Market" about the Third Street Farmer's Market business highlighting Du-Par's pie shop; and advertisements.
