About the UAC

Undergraduate Advisory Council Logo

Launched in 2025, the Gilder Lehrman Undergraduate Advisory Council (UAC) brings together a diverse group of students from four-year colleges and community colleges across the country. This vibrant council includes former Gilder Lehrman interns, past Student Advisory Council (SAC) members, and other exceptional students nominated by their college professors for their academic achievements and passion for history.

The UAC holds four virtual meetings throughout the academic year, offering students a unique chance to connect with a wide range of historical professionals, including teachers, professors, archivists, librarians, and museum experts. These meetings are not only a chance to network but also an opportunity for students to share their insights and feedback on the Institute’s programs, helping shape and refine its outreach efforts to better serve the next generation of students and teachers.
