Also includes a roster and an ambrotype photograph of Wilkinson. All but four letters were written by Wilkinson to his wife. The letters mention First Bull Run, General George McClellan's Peninsula Campaign, Antietam, the replacement of McClellan with General Ambrose Burnside, General Joseph Hooker, and preparation for Vicksburg. Expresses disapproval of McClellan, and praises Hooker. The letters end on 19 June 1863 when he complains of weakness from long-term illness. Pension records are also available.
