One letter addressed to Floretia Mitchell from Wallace Mitchell dated June 5, 1861. Pertains to parade march and other camp recreation. Describes 21 companies that took part in an eight mile parade march through the town in the pouring rain. He writes that they dance and fiddle to "knockdowns and knifing."
