Conner tells Nueal that he received a letter from her today written on the 29th of April. He wishes that he was back in the United States, but writes "I don't think we will be back in the states any way soon for it will take a pretty long time yet to finish this up." He tells Nueal that Jonas "sure is a nice boy the best friend I every had and I nevery forget him he sure has been loat of help to me." Conner says he is liking his job better everyday, and that he has a good mess Sargeant. He writes that he will try and get his tooth back in somehow because "it look so bad out." He says that he does not need any money over here "gust a nuff for cigarettes." He writes that he gets cigarettes for 5 cents a pack. He says hello to everyone back at home and closes the letter.
