Collection of letters belonging to Private Herbert C. Conner addressed to his sister Mrs. Nueal Dorroh dated 1942-1944. Contains approximately 66 letters and one note of an address. Pertains to training while at Fort Bragg and being stationed in the South Pacific Islands. He also addresses his sister's husband B.J. Dorroh and their newborn daughter, Lola Jean. One letter is from LeRoy W. Biddle which is written after Conner is killed and he is notifying Nueal Dorroh on a shipmen of knives that she had originally sent to him.
