Conner tells Nueal not to write him until he sends her his new address for when he is on "the other side." He writes that he doesn't mind serving because he has to get it over with and do his part. He will send his allotment of money to mom and dad through the army. He asks that they spend it because he does not need it since he receives $52 a month. He and Jonas Crawley are still together and will stay together because Jonas has a job cutting hair. He says not to worry, that he is fine and will be coming back. Conner signs off and will send Nueal his address soon. The letter is written on Golden Gate Exchange Club stationery.

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
