At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Still no word from Nancy after three letters."She's probably mad because I threw the beer bottle at her house that one night." Asks for her picture. He has bronchial pneumonia with a temperature of 104 degrees. Describes hospital building 310 as a "separate building where they keep all the nuts."
