One letter from Bernon M. Smith to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated November 1, 1973. Smith supports the impeachment of President Nixon. He notes that he is a Republican, and that the Republicans should impeach Nixon before the Democrats do because he is making the party look bad. Smith writes, "If we let the Democrats do it for us via impeachment, we will not even elect a dog catcher for 20 more years"
