Nancy's mother writes Nancy, describing the recent events and people at home and reminding Nancy to write to her grandmother who has been feeling despondent. She tells Nancy she has not yet shopped for Christmas and that Bobby took the ACT test on December 13, 1969. She mentions Wayne, who is fishing this morning, and his wife, and Te Te (Tillie) who have visited. She writes that she has not seen "you know who." She mentions Mrs. Kemp from Grace King High School where she works who "managed to be civil" to her. She describes the difficulty she and her grandmother are having sewing Nancy's dress. Nancy's mother sends her money (not included) and pictures (not included) which she instructs her to bring home when she visits. In a post script she reports the affairs of one of Nancy's former boyfriends.
