Is sitting at George's feet while writing this letter. He just had a few pieces of bread. "He is not [at] all discouraged," but would love to be at home to "help Charles eat all the chickens." George will likely stay here 4 or 5 weeks and then might be sent home on furlough. The arm is doing "as well as can be expected."
