Worcester County, Massachusetts, June, July, or August 1774. "Voted that...the several towns & districts in the County...instruct their Representatives who may be chosen to meet at Salem in oct absolutely to refuse to be sworn by any officer or officers but such as are or may be appointed according to the Constitution...that they refuse to give their attendance at boston while the town is invested wtih troops and ships of war and should there be any thing to prevent there acting with...the Charter that they immediately repare to the Town of Concord and their join in a provence Congress...that they provide themselves immediately with one or more field peaces, mounted & fitted for use & also a sufficant quantity of ammunition...that wheras the people of this Country are under Solom Obligation not to purchis any goods that shall be imported from Great Britton after the Last day of August 1774 which they Determin most sacredly to adhere to while our many greavances be redrest therefore we Ernestly Request that the Committees of Correspondence or the Selectmen in the Several Seaport Towns in this province would appoint...Committes to inspect the imports...that the officers of each Regiment...meet at or before the tenth of october next...that the minite men choose their officers and when chose...choose yr Field officers---Sd meeting to Be at Worcester.
