Union victories in the west including the fall of Columbus and New Madrid. Also the capture of Fort Donelson and the abandonment of Bowling Green & Nashville. He complains that Stanton, McClellan and Buell have tried to take credit for his victories, but he has recorded the evidence which proves he planned the movements.
