Discusses Knox's impending resignation. Notes he had hope to "quite this Country by a better" (possibly means leave Cincinnati) while Knox was still in office. Also notes he was happy about Knox's approval of his conduct in the "character affair." States a man "has the right to expect and approbation of his Conduct to be expressed to him."
