At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Discusses the debt owed by their late friend, Nathanael Greene. Mentions Greene had been granted an injunction on the debt prior to his death but is once again going before a judge. Requests Knox to reexamine the evidence on Greene's case. State is not listed, however, Charleston is listed as the city.
