Says she has been very ill as of late and that her mind was "fried from anxiety." Says the weather has been good the past few days and that the roads are probably passable. Wants to get home soon to see her boys. Has heard they are well though. Reports that the boys are happy that the "day of exhibition" approaches, after which they will have a two week vacation. Believes Henry Jackson will allow Henry Jackson Knox [Henry and Lucy Knox's son] to visit Boston during this time. Is fearful that Henry Jackson Knox will be "exposed to the temptations of the Town which may set aside his present habits of regularity." Wants to know Lucy's wishes on the subject.
