Certifies that the Baron de Glasbeech served in the Southern Army. Provides information on his rank and the officers under whom he served. Notes that Glasbeech "distinguished himself by his bravery, particularly in the affair of the Cowpens under Genl Morgan, for which Congress honored him with a brevet Commission of Captain." Adds that since the end of the war, Glasbeech has experienced "many uncommon misfortunes," and asks the subscribers to advance money for Glasbeech's relief. See GLC02437.04207 and GLC02437.04210 for related documents. Both in the document and docket, Knox misidentifies Glasbeech as the "baron de Glasbeeck."
