Issued by Andrew as Governor of Massachusetts. Warns citizens against enticement into other state militias. Says "they can expect no aid from the authorities of Massachusetts in any embarrassments in which they may find themselves." Mentions some Massachusetts units that need replacements. Below the warning is a reprint of correspondence between Governor Andrew and the Baltimore headquarters of Major General John A.
