Co-signed by General Sir William Howe and his aide-de-camp N. Rose. Permit issued by Joshua Loring, British Commissioner of Prisoners, giving permission to William Taylor to facilitate an exchange of American prisoners Richard McKnight and Thomas Little for British prisoners Peter Campbell and Charles Harrison in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Note on verso says George Washington sanctions the exchange of prisoners.
