Comprises the full report of the battle, issued by General William Starke Rosecrans. Among other topics, contains reports of the Chief of Artillery, the chief quartermaster, and the chief commissary of subsistence; a list of officers who distinguished themselves during the battle; fold-out battle field maps; a report on flags captured during battle, and a percentage of losses in brigades, division, and corps.
