Winslow informs Knox that he is "suffering much injury from Pillagers upon your Lands in Falmouth." Winslow says that "the Secretary of the Treasury, has instituted an investigation of the Conduct of the Marshal of this District, in consequence of some complaints exhibited against Him, in a Letter to the President." Winslow asks that Knox not tell the attorney, Mr. Davis, that he wrote or knows about the matter. Winslow hopes that Knox could perhaps mention him to fill the position of Marshal of the District.

Winslow informs Knox, "I have pursued unremittingly the Steps requisite to promote your desire of speedily commanding monies for some of your Lots in Falmouth, as express'd in your last Lettr." Winslow explains whom he has been in contact with and who has interest in purchasing the lots, including "Capt. S. Noyes." Land belonging to Mrs. Flucker and Mr. Waldo have been reduced, Winslow writes. Winlsow expects that Knox will keep to his word about deals and interest agreements he has made. Winslow breaks down how the Waldo land holding have been distributed among the Waldo heirs.

Discusses his interest in buying Winslow's share of the Waldo patent. Desires to buy the share because he wishes to consilidate the entire patent under one owner, making it more valuable, easier to manage, and better equiped to handle disputed claims over property. Also wants to make sure he owns the property outright, without any other debts or claims on it, othewise may not go through with the deal. Offering ten thousand dollars up front and ten thousand more a year later for the full share. Gives Winslow sixty days to accept or reject his offer.

Authorization for the cancellation of a mortgage of land from the estate of the late Thomas Flucker. Witnessed by Isaac and Samuel Winslow. Noted as "Signed, Sealed and delivered in the presence of" Henry Jackson who has also signed. Authorized by Samuel Cooper, who has signed twice as justice of the peace, 17 October 1793. Also noted and signed as received and entered into the records by William Webber at Hancock Island on 6 October 1794 and Thomas Price at Lincoln Island on 22 October 1794.

Mentions that Colonel [Benjamin] Hichborn will be representing Knox. Also recommends his brother [likely Samuel Winslow] for an open position with the federal government in the Import Office.

Writes that some papers related to the deficiency of land "are smuggled in the Senate; said to be mislaid, but may come to light in the next court."
