Title: [Terms for hiring out slaves from the estates of Thomas Winn and Thomas Drummond]

One document stating the terms by which people enslaved by John Winn would be hired out for work. Lists their names and amount charged, and names of the people requesting their labor. Document also states that they would be given winter clothes and not to work on rivers or island. Included in these terms were people enslaved by Elias Willis and Thomas Drummond. Notation that Jenny, an enslaved woman should receive a bonnet, rather than the standard hat being issued.

Advertising the terms under which his slaves may be hired out for the upcoming year. Some of the slaves belong to General J. H. Cocke, the others to the estate of Thomas Winn. Receipt for fourteen dollars "for medical services rendered negro woman Maria." The receipt is made out to George Winn, who acted as administrator for the estate of Mildred Bradshaw. Maria belonged to Bradshaw's estate, and had gotten sick while hired out to Benjamin Barnet in 1829.

Title: Account of sales and hiring negroes of Mildred Bradshaws estate, by J Winn for G Winn

Lists property sold and enslaved people outsourced for labor on Mildred Bradshaw's estate, for which George Winn is the agent. Also lists who the names of enslaved people who were sent out with the price paid for them, and the quality of their work. Goods sold include a "bay mare," a stove, a spinning wheel and a pot. The cash earned is also divided among Bradshaw's heirs.

Thomes, and Mildred Bradshaw, with her mark. Note on docket states that George Winn, administrator of Mildred Bradshaw's estate, has paid the debt. Note is dated 25 June 1832, and is signed by William Bradshaw and Minor Bradshaw with his mark. Among the enslaved people listed is "An old and superannuated woman Phebe (considered to be worth nothing)." Docket notes that the enslaved people were hired out from the estate. Appraised by John Fuqua, John G. Hughes and Pearce W. Metton. Signed by John Winn as administrator of the estate of Thomas Winn.
