Small folio. Printed by Imprena Mayor Casa de Porras. Treaty of amity and commerce with rebelling Spanish provinces. The Federal Republic of Central America included Guatemala, Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica and was formed in 1823 by rebelling Spanish provinces. It is the second treaty between the United States and another country in the Americas. Malloy 160.

Title: to Anna Maria Fitzhugh

Writes to his godmother about fighting the Comanche Indians in Oklahoma. Notes his successful recovery from a "severe ordeal." Comments that "Indian warfare is not the most glorious in the world, hard fighting after riding miles and miles through the hot sun...and getting but little if any, glory." He does enjoy the life apart from the warfare. Comments on the hunting and fishing, and his horses (one a captured Comanche pony). Indicates that he will soon go to Camp Cooper, 115 miles south of Camp Radziminski, from where he writes this letter.

Cites the details of several sums Theophilus owes Daniel Garrard (one of Theophilus's brothers and his father were named Daniel). As surety, Theophilus conveys the right, title, and interest of a tract of land in Clay County, Kentucky, to Daniel (the land is known as "the saltworks tract"). Also presents Daniel with "the Abner Baker place," crops, farm animals, and slaves (including Andy, Bill, and George) until the debt is paid.

Member of the Court of Assistants Winslow writes to Royal Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony Winthrop about a dispute over the area now known as Seekonk. Discusses Samuel Gorton, who was preaching to the Native Americans under the protection of the Colony at Providence. Docketed by Winthrop. In the land dispute the Plymouth and Massachusetts Bay Colonies joined together against Roger Williams of the Colony at Providence. One bust engraving of Edward Winslow included.

Fears that the anger over British seizures at sea and their continued presence in the Northwest will lead to intemperate actions on the part of the government. Continues the letter on 10 April 1794. Mentions that he is glad boards were sent to his brother's house at Rye, New York and says he will have to attend to personal business…

Writes, "He alone whom it has pleased to take away a devoted husband, kind parent and valued citizen can console the widow and the child for the loss- Tears only show sympathy but do not relieve the aching heart... I know that no mortal utterance can give the required consolation..." Written on Headquarters, 1st Division, 5th Corps stationery.

They are now ordered to protect Philadelphia against a potential attack. Mentions his hope that the successful Battle of Plattsburgh will relieve British pressure on the Eastern frontier. Snyder was the Pennsylvania governor.
