One trading card from the Red Menace collection, "23. Ghost City" illustrates a looming Grim Reaper figure amidst a destructed metropolis. The reverse side contains a propaganda narrative regarding the after-effects of an atomic attack on a "great American city." The text alludes that Communists rely on fear as a tactic to dismantle the strength of America, but that the United Nations is fully prepared for any attack. One set of middle passage iron bilboes, circa 1680-1800. Item is an iron restraint for ankles or wrists used on slave ships to fasten two enslaved people to each other. Consist of an iron bar running through two c-shaped cuffs. One end of the rod has been flattened to make it too big to be removed from the cuffs. The other end of the rod has a loop that is attached to an iron circle. The circle can be used to attach the item to another.

One set of hand-forged iron shackles, dated 18th-19th century. Consists of two c-shaped iron cuffs attached with heavy iron links to two round rings. One ring is larger than the other and creates a point to link the shackles to another set of shackles or a chain. At the opening of the cuffs there are oval shaped links that close the shackles off and allow for a lock to be placed. Possibly used on enslaved people.

Has requested that enslaved people who worked for him should be freed and compensated $2,000. His estate after evaluation would be split among his wife's family, his family and other acquaintances. Doak enclosed a dollar owed by him to Maguire for a table purchased at a sale which he had not paid him yet.

Of particular note are three advertisements for escaped enslaved persons on the front page. The first advertisement published by Joseph Cox offers fifty dollars for the return of "Nanny," noting that "if said woman returns of her own accord, she will be forgiven." The second advertisement for "Chance," who "sometimes calls himself Charles and Thomas" offers…
