By the First Army Corps Engineers, Lee's Army of northern Virginia. A very detailed and exact map of the approaches to Richmond. The first panel has a pencil sketch of a bust and inscription "M. McDonald."

Asks if they could mobilize "ten thousand men, and quietly, but suddenly concentrate them at Sheridan's camp and enable him to make a strike?" Written on "Executive Mansion" stationery.
