A land deed between Jackson Glaze and J. H. Harvey stating that Glaze sold Harvey a portion of land in Farmville, Virginia for $220. It is signed by Jackson Glaze, A. M. M. Fallwell, and Horace Adams. The deed was folded in fourths and attached to a light blue paper cover. On the outside of this cover, "Watkins & Brock Attorneys and Counselors at Law Farmville, VA." is printed. It also has handwriting stating the date and location of its creation, as well as a note for $2.75 in taxes and fees. Another hand has written, "Aleas M. Snead Nathan Snead to Nannie J. Harvey 1000.00 each."

The reverse also has printing of the deed title and the date, as well as a handwritten note of $4.70 in taxes and fees.

It is signed by Nannie James Harvey, as well as Henretta E. Williams, Gertrude M. Williams, and Willmer F. Dillard, who were all witnesses to the will's creation.

Letter from a man named Burt for Virginia Williams. He writes that when Eunice told him he was as shocked as she was. He does not specify what he was shocked about. It is not difficult for him to imagine how she is feeling. He experienced something similar the "last of July." He writes that is feels harder when it is unexpected. It is most likely that he is talking about the death of her brother, LeRoi Williams. He says he wanted to look into the future to see what happens next. People are much better off after "taking that important step." He writes that she will begin to selfishy grieve…

Newspaper clipping of the gruaduating class of Tuskegee Army Air Field on August 4th that Eugene W. Williams was in. There is a black and white photograph of the graduates in uniform in front of a P-40 fighter plane, according to the news clipping. Euegene Williams is the last man on the right of the row of men standing. Below the photograph is a list of the ranking, home town, and name of the graduates. Eugene Williams is the last one listed.

Telegram from Boyd Coab to Cordelia Williams. There are two purple stars stamped in the middle. It says "I regret to inform you of the death of your son 'Leroi S Willliams' 0809260 Air Corps 100th Fighter Squaron 332nd Fighter Group." It says the time of death was 3:30 PM, October 14th as a result of an "aircraft accident while on a regular routine training flight."

Telegram from the members of headquarters detachment Camp Ellis to James T. Williams. They give sympathy "in this hour of sorrow" referring to the death of LeRoi Williams. They say that they stand ready to aid anyway they can and to contact Red Cross for more furlough. Written in pencil is the correct address in Roanoke, Virginia, that the telegram was for as well as what appears to be a return address. There is also a handwritten note.
