Augsberger writes that he has not received a letter from Ardena's mother about him getting mad at Ardena. He says that he would not get mad at Ardena anyway because he loves her. He refers to one of Ardena's letters in which she writes about putting the baby to bed. He writes "I hope you mean Mary's baby. Or do you? If we have one I want you to tell me about it." He says that he does not want her to keep secrets from him because "you are part of me and I should know."
