Encloses deeds and powers of attorney respecting the lands of the Ten Proprietors (not present). Would like Reed to record them and send them back to him by the next post. Also asks him to certify on a separate sheet that they have been recorded. Provides information on several of the proprietors and outlines what else he would like Reed to do with the documents.

Writes that he is an agent of part of the Waldo patent, as he is executor for the recently deceased Thomas Flucker, and a representative of Hannah Flucker. Asks Rice to send him any transactions for the land of the Waldo patent, as well as mortgages and deeds. The second letter, of 4 October, is on a similar topic.
