Title: Lease of land on the Manor of Livingston to John Crandell
The document leases a tract of land on the Manor to John Crandell, but stipulates that Robert Livingston, Jr. is to retain rights and access to all mines and minerals on the farm, "with liberty to search for, dig up, & carry away, all such ore minerals without the lett or hinderance of him the said John Crandell." Crandell is also obliged to clear the land and make it suitable to plant an orchard, and is required to give a certain quantity of his harvest to Robert, Jr. as a part of his rent.
