One newspaper clipping sent by Omer H. Kelpe to Virginia Heidt Kelpe in a letter dated September 25, 1944. The cartoon features a radio studio with a placard that reads, "The G.I. HOUR" explaining that a service man would get to call home for free. The soldier is in the center of the studio yelling into the phone as everyone else looks concerned and alarmed. The caption reads, "Yeah? Well, let me tell you a thing or two!"
