Collection of letters primarily between Omer H. Kelpe and his wife Virginia Kelps between 1942 and 1946 while he served in the Air Force at Randolph Field in Texas. He mainly wrote about his day to day life and of how much he loved her. There are many letters that have been fragment due to censors cutting out sections that are about topics not to be discussed. This collection contains; 665 letters, 56 newspaper clippings, 14 envelopes, 13 documents, 9 postcards, 8 stamps, 7 receipts, 6 photographs, 3 telegrams, 3 pamphlets, 2 greeting cards, 2 notes, 2 advertisements, 1 business card and 1 poem.
