Richard Webster
Rich Webster was born and raised in Altadena, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. He received a BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School. He started his career working for Morgan Stanley in New York in a variety of operational and analytic roles, then returned home to help his father manage and grow his medical device business, an electrophysiology cardiology catheter company that was subsequently acquired by Johnson & Johnson. From there Rich co-founded Goldstar Events, a national online seller of discounted live entertainment tickets, which he sold at the end of 2021.
Rich is co-president and treasurer of his family’s foundation, the Helen and Will Webster Foundation, which is primarily focused on initiatives concerning the health, education, and welfare of young people. Rich’s wife, Kim, is passionate about public education and is an elected member of the Pasadena Unified School District. Rich served a six-year term on the board of trustees at his children’s high school, Flintridge Prep in La Canada, where he was the chair of finance for five years and saw a successful completion of a capital campaign to expand the campus.
Rich is passionate about US history and believes that it is paramount for young people to have a firm grasp of our past in order to successfully steward this country forward for future generations. Many people keep a spiritual guide by their bedside. Rich’s is a pocket version of the US Constitution.
