One letter addressed to Floretia Mitchell from her brother, Wallace Mitchell dated York Hospital, September 22, 1864. Pertains to receiving a furlough. He is waiting for transportation papers before being able to set off home. Includes two sketches of a bird and a soldier mounting a horse with text that reads, "getting ready for a start." Also included is a bundle of dried leaves.
