One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated December 2, 1944. He received letters from them, Lulu Graeff, Mary, Herman Klopp, Robert Winemiller, Dottie Erickson, Dot Shearer, and June Walter. He also received four of five boxes he was told to expect. He is keeping them in an empty locker until Christmas. He mentions that everyone is doing well, but Robert writes that he is scared at the German front. Leonard found a Thanksgiving Menu for them (GLC09611.385.02) He had a day off and went to a U.S.O. dance and two movies. He once again mentions the "Robot Bombs" but believes it is mostly propaganda and to sell more bonds. He comments on Hawaii natives, and stereotypes them as lazy. There will be 200 WAVES stationed in Hawaii soon.

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
