One letter addressed to Joyce Robinson from Richard J. DiChristina dated June 14, 1969. He informs Joyce to tell
Carl that it is difficult being away from your loved ones. He writes that he wishes he could spell better so he could express all he
wishes to tell Joyce. He would like to marry her. He lets Joyce know that he shares sleeping quarters with 44 men and that he
will be going to sleep soon. He promises he will write again in the morning. The next day (June 15 1969) he writes good morning to
Joyce and mentions he will begin basic training tomorrow. He states he is confined to the post and cannot go to the "PX or anywhere." He tells Joyce he will send three quarters of his pay to her and that he has placed bonds in her name. In a postscript, he depicts a diagram of the telephone center, which is one mile from his camp, and writes in a second postscript that he loves and misses her.
