At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Sylvia took the car out and got her last instruction on "Rosie the Riveter." Went over to the party where the program was a Truth or Consequences game and then singing Russian songs by those dressed in Russian costumes. Then she came on; and did a Fanny Brice routine.
