Dedrick is writing Senator Bruce to let him know that he recently got a telegraph from the attorney General that says he can defend himself. Dedrick also writes to discuss Alcorn the other Senator for Mississippi now holds the patronage, and assures Senator Bruce of his continued friendship and support.
