Short separate lists of images available. This artificially formed collection of engravings, lithographs, photogravures, photo-offset and halftones was put together in the 1970s and 1980s. Every signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and all presidents are represented. Many literary figures are represented. The inventory breaks down the materials into the following groups 1. Images of famous people, mostly Americans (with some British); 2. Images of American Presidents; 3. Scenes, mostly from the Civil War; 4. Foreign personalities (mostly European; includes some late 17th?-C etchings); 5. Unidentified (about 100); and 6. Title pages. The collection also includes a bound set of the National Portrait Gallery.
