"We Plead for Our Soldiers" asks readers to support soldiers by sending bibles and papers. A discussion of "The Parable of the Tares" is included. In "Nomination," the editors publish their support for Dr. Boyce's seat in the Confederate Congress. A letter to the editor titled "Associations" examines associations within other denominations.
