Two black men wearing overcoats, top hats, and mourning ribbons stand with Lincoln's horse in front of Lincoln's Springfield home. Ostendorf p. 32 identifies the men as Revs. Brown (left) and Trevan (right). Three additional black men gather against a fence in the rear of the photograph. Ostendorf p. 32 identifies the horse as "Old Robin", whose nickname was "Old Bob." Graphite notations on verso "39," "Lincoln's Favorite Horse" and "Lincoln's Horse at time of Funeral." Photographers imprint on verso: "F.W. Ingmire, Photographic Artist, City Gallery, West Side of Public Square, Springfield Ill." Cancelled orange two-cent tax stamp on verso.
