Inscription on verso: "1861. War Views. 1865. No. 2340. Camp Near French's Bridges, Chickahominy River, Virginia. In the hollow in the foreground can be seen the mule teams and army wagons. The shelter tent camp and smoke from the numerous camp fires unite to make this a most interesting view of "our boys" field life."
