Written as Governor. Writes "I recd a letter from Judge Bishop yesterday saying that Dr. Leavitt wished me to send my bill against him to you. I charged him $50..." Writes (and signs) again 17 December 1852 noting that Taft received his payment for Leavitt's bill. Docket states "Briggs v. Leavitt."
