Massachusetts congressman Ames writes to Captain Bryant to discuss the delay in the "adjustment of Robert Bancroft's claim" due to the lack of information from Bryant. Asks Bryant to quickly respond to the questions in an enclosed memorandum (see GLC03432.053), "as Congress is drawing near to the close of the session." Free frank signed by Fisher Ames and stamped "Free" on address leaf.
