Clem, Lieutenant of the 24th Infantry, writes to General Wood and other members of an executive committee organizing a reunion in Dayton, Ohio. Regretfully declines an invitation to attend a reunion 20 and 21 November, 1872. Writes, "I would rather miss any other reunion than the one at Dayton, as I have some very pleasant recollections of the place, besides the natural love for my native "Buckeye State."
