General Butler writes to Gooch, United States Representative from Massachusetts (1857-1866 and 1873-1874). Encloses a testimony he gave before a committee on the conduct of war (enclosure not included). Thought he had previously returned the testimony to Gooch's clerk, but was mistaken.
