Demands one hundred men on the next day to load railway cars. The men must arrive by 8 a.m., have their own officers with them, and bring their own dinners. Year not given, but both men are referred to as Brigadier Generals. In March of 1861 neither Trimble nor Early were in the army. In March 1862 both held the rank of Brigadier General. And by March 1863 both had been promoted to the rank of Major General, meaning the letter must have been written in 1862.
