Articles of agreement between Phillips, Leonard Jarvis and John Read for the state of Massachusetts and Henry Jackson and associates for the sale of two million acres "of unappropriated lands in the Eastern parts of [the] Commonwealth..." There are thirteen articles in all. Noted as a copy in the docket. Appears to be held together with sealing wax. Watermarked "Budgen" and with hunting horn inside a crest with "G R" underneath. Docketed by Jackson, "Copy of Contract July 1 1791-2,0000.00 acres at 10 cents."
