At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Discusses the recent visit of Mr. [possibly Stephen] West, who is considering purchasing part of Woodbridge's "Glasswork grant." Believes that this will help the grant, as it is already split into portions by the "Housatonnock river." Imagines Flucker has a plan for the grant land and asks questions on the subject.
