At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Large amount of text loss in the upper left corner of page 1 and upper right corner of page 2. Explains that boards will be delivered at St. Georges (likely in Maine) so that Dunton can continue building the fences and stables at Knox's estate. Provides him with some further instructions, in case the work is completed before Knox arrives the following month.
